2. Canadian red cedar
All our tubs are made from A-Grade Canadian Western red cedar wood from a sustainable source.

Species Characteristics: Warmth, natural durability, dimensional stability, versatility, distinctiveness. One of the world’s most beautiful woods. No man-made material can duplicate its naturally luxurious appearance and high performance quality.

Why is Western Red Cedar ideal to work with? Its fibres contain natural compounds that act as preservatives, making the wood extremely long lasting. These compounds provide natural resistance to moisture, insects and decay.
3. Stainless steel compression bands
We use marine grade #316 stainless steel compression bands and joiners around each tub.

4. Tub feet
Our hot tubs come with either 3 or 4 bearers (depending on tub size) which the tub sits on. These are not removable and are connected permanently to the tub.
There is a 40mm gap under the tub wall which allows airflow and the drain pipe fitting to exit out from underneath the tub.

The bearers are made from H3 treated pine which is the best choice to support the weight of the tub and as they are treated, they are resistant to rot.
5. Drain fitting
Drain fitting in tub base with external valve for easy draining and refilling.

6. SOFT HEAD REST

  • Included is a charcoal coloured UV resistant soft headrest around the top rim of the tub which gives a more comfortable soak.

7. Jets and suction fittings
Our dark brown quality American made jets and suction fittings blend in well with the cedar wood.

8. Marine clear coat
The inside of our tub walls and base (seats left in bare cedar) is finished off in a maintainence free marine clear coat. This makes our tubs more hygienic and easier to clean, stops wood rot which extends the life of the tub, reduces the amount of tannin that leaches from the wood into the water (makes the water brown). This results in clearer water and a low maintenance product.
9. Timber staves locked together and sealed
10. outside of tub coated with wood oil for protection from the elements
